A Universal Language - The Reversal of Babel

A Universal Language - The Reversal of Babel

Reading: Joel 2:28-32; Acts 2:5-13

Devotional: At Babel, God confused languages and scattered humanity. At Pentecost, He reversed the curse. People from every nation heard the mighty works of God in their own tongues—not because the listeners were multilingual, but because heaven was making a declaration: the barriers are gone.

God's revelation is no longer confined to one people, one place, or one language. He is ready to be known worldwide. What fills you will overflow from you. The Holy Spirit is mobile and dynamic, like a rushing river that cannot be contained.

Between what your ears hear and what your mind can handle lies the space where God scrambles your understanding and demands wonder. Don't reduce what you cannot comprehend. Let God be incomprehensible, and stand amazed.
