The Power of Intentional Seeing

The Power of Intentional Seeing

Reading: Acts 3:4-5; Luke 10:30-37

Devotional: "Look at us," Peter commanded. This wasn't casual observation—it was intentional engagement. The beggar had seen thousands of people; Peter and John truly saw him. Most gave a glance; the apostles gave a gaze. This is the difference the Holy Spirit makes: we stop walking past pain with peripheral vision and start looking intently at what we've been ignoring.

The Holy Spirit ruins your ability to have a normal day adjacent to someone else's broken life. He interrupts your agenda, quickens your pace toward suffering rather than away from it, and transforms your attention. A Spirit-filled life becomes an interruptible life. Today, slow down. Ask God to show you who or what you've been walking past. Let divine interruption become your new normal, because miracles begin when somebody finally stops and sees what everyone else is ignoring.

Reflection Question: Who has God placed in my path that I've been seeing without truly seeing?
