The Conviction That Changes Everything

The Conviction That Changes Everything

Reading: Acts 2:33-37

Devotional:
"They were pierced to the heart." This wasn't emotional manipulation or clever preaching—this was the Holy Spirit doing what He promised to do: convict. When truth stops being something you merely hear and becomes something you feel, transformation begins. The crowd moved from asking "What is this?" to "What shall we do?"

Conviction isn't comfortable. It's supposed to make you squirm because truth doesn't always match your life. Where the Holy Spirit touches reality, you should feel it. This isn't about guilt or shame; it's about recognizing the gap between who you are and who God created you to be.

The same Spirit poured out at Pentecost is the same Spirit piercing hearts today. Don't resist that uncomfortable feeling—it's the first step toward freedom. Conviction means you've reached your V1 moment.

Reflection: When was the last time you felt convicted by God's Spirit? How did you respond? What is He convicting you about today?
