Filled with the Right Things
Reading: Acts 5:17-20; Ephesians 5:18-20
Devotional: The religious leaders were filled with jealousy while the apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit. What fills you determines what moves you. Jealousy, fear, and anger will drive you toward resistance and opposition. But when the Holy Spirit fills you, you become part of God's unstoppable movement.
Notice that God's angel didn't free the apostles for comfort—He freed them for mission. The command was clear: "Go, stand, and speak." Today, examine what's filling your heart. Are you consumed by comparison, worry, or worldly concerns? Or are you allowing God's Spirit to fill you with purpose, power, and boldness? Freedom in Christ isn't for your comfort alone—it's for His mission through you.
Reflection: What emotions or attitudes are filling you today? Ask God to replace anything that hinders you with His Holy Spirit.
