Standing When Others Bow

 Standing When Others Bow

Reading: Acts 7:51-56

Devotional:
"You are always resisting the Holy Spirit," Stephen declared. His diagnosis was precise: they had religion without surrender, tradition without transformation, knowledge without obedience. They were "stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart." Stephen refused to soften the truth, even knowing the cost. When the council raged, Stephen remained full of the Holy Spirit, his eyes fixed on heaven. He saw Jesus standing—the only time Scripture describes the risen Christ standing at God's right hand. Jesus stood to honor the one who would not bow.

This is the call for every believer: remain faithful regardless of opposition. The world will demand you compromise, soften your message, privatize your faith. But an unstoppable witness says, "We will not bow." Today, identify one area where cultural pressure tempts you to compromise. Choose to stand firm.
